Rev. Evelyn Hornaday

Rev. Evelyn Hornaday

The Rev. Evelyn Hornaday has joined All Saints’ as our part-time priest.  Her ministry to the Church has been as an intentional interim rector, serving at Holy Cross, Sugar Land and All Saints, Stafford, both in the Diocese of Texas.  She also served as the interim at All Saints, Russellville and St. John’s, Helena in the Diocese of Arkansas.  She recently completed her tenure at St. Margaret’s, Little Rock .  She began her priesthood at Ascension, Springfield, Missouri.

Mother Evelyn is a second-career priest, after a successful career in strategic planning, marketing and advertising in business-to-business publishing.  She graduated from the Episcopal Seminary of the Southwest, Austin in 2000  She has diverse interests and gifts that she brings to All Saints’ – a passion for the poor and downtrodden, a deep love for liturgy well done, and academic and pastoral experience with the ethical and theological issues surrounding death and dying.   She is also a published author in that field, and has written a soon-to-be published meditation on the hymn “The Call”, being included in a collection of hymn meditations published by Church Publishing Company and edited by Russell Schulz, one of the editors of The Hymnal 1982.

Mother Evelyn will offer the eucharistic liturgies twice a month, and other services as  needed.  She can be reached at evelyn.hornaday@gmail.com or by phone in Little Rock at 501-379-8232.
